Categories: running trail

Question:

total running path is 18 mi above section is 2 1/2mi &  is usually plowed or packed down

Response:

How many miles long is the trail in Lincoln Park ? Specifically the part that gets PLOWED clear of snow. Which I think runs from North Ave. to a totem pole near Addison Ave. I will be in Chicago and need to do upto a 10 mile run. Is this section actually plowed at this time ? The running trail from the tunnel at North ave to the trail’s end at Holloywood and back is 12 miles. The area you are referring to is about a 6 mile round trip. You can run past the totem pole on the sidewalk to make a 10 mile run. They try to plow all the trails but the real problem is ice, because they only salt the sidewalks.Unless the weather is really bad, you won’t have any problems and there are always runners to ask.We only have a little snow on the ground now.
