Minneapolis Running track?

Categories: running track

Question:

Hi, is there a decent outdoor running track in Minneapolis — high school, community college, park district, etc — that’s open to the public (and preferably not too crowded on weekday mornings.) The closer to Uptown, the better. Thanks. Dan

What the fuck does this have to do with homosexuality?

He’s looking for a tack that is open to the public. The public means everyone, regardless of race, color, creed, or sexual orientation. tkb

Wale, it be true, I jus’ loves it when all thems big, sweaty mens comes runnin’ by. All a-huffin’ and a-puffin’ an’ such. But, you know, joking about off-topic drivel isn’t much better than the off-topic drivel itself, so if anybody has any advice here, I’d appreciate. it..

Somehow I get the idea that this group particularly attracts the lycra guys who spend more money on their "gear" than they spend energy on running. The guys who run three abreast chatting with their lycra buddies about their SUVs and stock options, taking up the whole path, obliviously making everybody else go around them. Choad warriors, in other words. But hey, thanks a bunch for all the help.

Yeah, posting insults from the comfort of your living room is pretty ballsy. And it’s a great hobby, too. And totally normal. You’re right about Usenet. Some of it has changed for the better since the early to mid-90s, when it was pretty well dominated by guys like you. I had hoped maybe something like rec.running would be dominated by people who are not emotionally stunted guys (pretty much all guys, right? right) with lingering anger-management difficulties and father issues. I did a quick search on you, Bob. Here and on the Web. You have problems, and like a mystifyingly large number of people, for some reason, you want to work them out here rather than with a friend, a family member, or a qualified therapist. Beating off online, constantly, isn’t going to help you. All I am is an adult who was trying to get a little advice from some other adults. I guess I have to look elsewhere. Thanks again, and good luck.
