 I have started my exercise program and I’m walking a little further to catch the bus for work now which is about a 15 min walk. i also do the walk away the pounds tapes I am up to a mile and a half and starting sunday will go and use the gym in my apartment building and use the treadmill on my days off.   Did pretty good with my eating today. And will do even better tomorrow. Instead of eating something at work like I normally do I brought my own dinner. So things are going good so far. Angie

i’m not doing a hole lot. didn’t end up going to the gym but went roller blading after work instead to enjoy the beautiful summers day angie

try not to over do it.  It is easy to do and you won’t know it until you’ve done it.  You’re doing great.

Little changes can go a long way to have large affects.  You sound like you are on a good path for yourself now.  Keep it up. — JJ.

thanks I plan on it. I want to be back at 125lbs by my birthday. which is August 29 , that is my original weight before I gained at christmas. I figure I have about 33lbs to go before I get to my over all goal. That’s great, Angie.  One thing I’ve discovered is that as my thighs have become thinner, my gait has changed.  It’s now easier to walk long distances, and I can take longer strides.  You’ll probably experience something like that as you go along.  Working your leg muscles with long walks will help with that. will work out at the gym tomorrow

As corny as this sounds, if you walk around a running track, it will help you gauge your progress. Maybe you have a junior high or high school somewhere nearby and you could walk there?  Also, when walking for fitness, be sure that you are using your thigh and butt muscles. Too many people just try walking with their calf muscles. Your  1 1/2 mile walk is 6 laps around a track. You could time yourself and see how you are progressing. Pat in TX
