Walking Shoes vs. Running Shoes

Categories: running shoes

Question:

I think there has been a thread on this lately, but I didn’t read it, sorry.  My wife is going to start walking and was wondering if she should buy running shoes or walking shoes.  Anybody have any experience with this.  It would probably be 1 – 2 miles a few times a week if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance. Neil

For someone who is walking such low mileage, it probably does not make that much of a difference.  It makes more sense to get a good shoe that fits right.  How it looks should not be important at all. I would suggest that you get the latest issue of _Walking_ magazine because it has a good review of walking shoes.  Also, you could use the WWW to look at the Runner’s World web page to get more information.  The URL is http://www.runnersworld.com/ Paul —        ___
