Shins aching—help

Categories: running shoes

Question:

I began walking about 5 months ago and have developed into a walk/run routine. Doing so, I have lost about 55 pounds, but lately my shins become very painful, they almost ache, after running for very long.  Can anyone help me.  I wear good running shoes and I don’t think my stride is too long…..any suggestions on what I might do to take this "pain" out of running.  I never thought I’d run for enjoyment, but with age……comes wisdom.   :-) Thanks for any help Daryn
