Lateral calf cramps
Categories: running shoes
Question:
I have been experiencing bad cramps in both my lateral calves during running. I do turn my ankles from time to time and I probably I have a muscle weakness which is causing both problems. (I do invert my feet from time to time) Can anybody suggest appropriate running shoes for these problems?
Response:
Bilateral calf pain may be more than an adjustment in shoes. I feel you should check with your doctor about blood flow etc-because the symptoms are bilateral. It does’nt sound like a typical calf strain. Other causes include peroneal nerve dysfunction. Dr. M in Seattle at Joy’s Address.
