Kee pain!!
Question:
says… I have been running ever since September of 1993 and have not had a single injury or pain in eather my knee or anywere else. Then around December 4 of last year I experenced a major sharp pain in the side of my left knee, I then took 4 weeks off from running thinking it was because of my traning. However, when I started running in January I got the same sharp pain in my Knee after running only a mile! I went to a doctor and he said that it was because i have "tibial band syndrome" in my left knee and that i should strech, and put cortisteroids ( <—most likely spelled wrong) on it, ice it every night, and it should be normal in about month. Well he said that 2 months ago and my Knee still hurts from time to time even with the cortisteroids on it. If anyone out there has ever had "Tibial band syndrome" or has any idea on how to get rid of it please tell me..
I saw your article and wanted to tell you about a simple orthopedic product that my company distributes called the Sacro Wedgy that has had amazing success with runners with all kinds of knee, hip, and back pains. If your interested send me some email or visit our web page at "http://www.acepp.com/wedgy.html". Hope I can help, Mark — Mark Falge

Recently, someone convinced me to try real running shoes (i always ran in my aerobic shoes before) and to run only on grass. that seems to be helping, so long as I stretch out real good both before and after a run. Also, I dont run more than 3 times a week, and try to walk or swim on the days in between. ope this helps I went to a doctor and he said that it was : because i have "tibial band syndrome" in my left knee and that i : should strech, and put cortisteroids ( <—most likely spelled : wrong) on it, ice it every night, and it should be normal in : about month. I’ve had knee pains in my right knee underneath the cap and was advised to strengthen the muscles in my leg by pushing weights and knee raises. Instead though I found that enough strength was being built in my legs through rock-overs and cranking on the local climbing wall thus reducing the pain and I ran continuously without having to take a break from the running. As soon as my fitness deteriorates, say after a lay off, the pain returns during a run. This leads me to believe that strong muscles help some< knee problems.
