Best running shoes for under $50
Question:
Can anyone suggest a good running shoes for under $50.
You may want to check out what the Tarahumara Indians of Mexico wear. They make their own sandals out of old tires and attach them with strips of leather which they wrap around their ankles and across the tops of their feet. They wore these last year in the Leadville 100 mile trail run, and took 7 of the top 11 spots including overall. They praised the quality of the tires in the U.S. landfills, which often have some tread left on them when they’re thrown out. #include "disclaimer.h" |____|

I am very happy with the Adidas Tech Road shoes. When I started running I was too heavy, and therefore was looking for shoes with good shock absorption. Also I did not want to spend too much, as I did not know whether I would be able to keep up with the running. Now that I have lost 14kg, and now that I am hooked on running, and now that I have also bought some more expensive pairs of shoes, I still use the Adidas Tech Road shoes, of which I have three pairs now, most of the time. Greetings, Frans.

I think a Major Shoe Co. and GoodYear are comming out this summer with the EAGLE AquaTred running shoe. It will be the only running shoe with a 50K mile warranty. Retal price will be $40 but the extended warranty which covers road hazards & lifetime rotation and flat repair will be $12/shoe. — _ __ _ __ _____ _ __ John W. Re: your request on shoes for under $50. DON’T skimp on the shoes just to get a "bargain," you might pay for it later. However, I got my last pair of Asaic Gel 123s on sale out of the JCPenney catalog (no kidding) for 49 bucks! An excellent shoe for the price, I say! PS: Train about 25 a week, with 1/2 Marathon credentials.

Try "The Shoe". It’s available through Road Runner Sports ($44.XX) and direct from the manufacturer ($39.XX) (they usually have an ad in Runners’ World. It’s not a 1/2 bad shoe for the money. Pretty well cushioned. Slightly curved, slip lasted. John Hatcher Jonesboro, AR
