Websites for running events?
Question:
Any specific recommendations for websites that list future (local) running events? (I live near Seattle.) I’m planning on running my first marathon next spring/early summer, and I want to find a good one to plan for. I also want to find some 5k/10k/Half-marathon and trail events to schedule in the meantime to incorporate into my training schedule. Regards, H.

Also check any local running club sites. Ask local running shoe stores for clubs info., or look in the paper for activity lists — once you make one contact, others become easy to find. bj

Check out the Vancouver (BC) International Marathon – May 1, 2005 – http://www.adidasvanmarathon.ca/hm/. It’s a scenic and flat course with lots of support along the way. For trails, http://www.trailrunner.com/ but this only has events that people send in to them (probably small percent of races that are out there). Local schedules are probably more complete or check at local running store. Dot — "So many people get stuck in the routine of life that their dreams waste away. Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll look into it, since that’s an easy drive. Guess I better get a passport… Regards, H.
