Question:

Tuesday night:  5 hills, maybe 7.  10seconds flat out with 2 minute recoveries Wednesday night:  19 minutes running.  Still worn out from the hills. Thursday morning:  4 miles, hill in 1:04.  My slowest ever, but I do better with a rest day the day before. Saturday morning:  5k in 22:36 them some 55 meter sprints a few hours later. Sunday Afternoon:  4 mile race.  I wanted to break 8 minute miles, but I was trying a new way to tie my shoes and they both came undone.  Finished in 32:18, with 3 of the people I wanted to beat less than 17 seconds ahead of me.  I figure I lost that much time re-tying my shoe laces. Dream:  To run 800 meters under 3 minutes before Friday.

1st week of 3, taper period before big marathon day March 2… Mon:  DNR Tues:  4 miles (7:42) Wed:  5 miles (8:10) Thur:  4 miles (8:29) Fri:  DNR Sat:  12.5 miles (8:28) Sun:  Walk 4 hilly miles Goal: Week #19 of 21, training for first marathon next March 3 (Napa Valley), hopefully 3:35:00 – 3:40:00 or so Bio: M, 31yo, 6"1′, 150lbs, just started running september ‘02, joined YMCA marathon training program group as a personal challenge to myself.
