Run Run Away

Question:

I’ll be in New Orleans the weekend of the 14th (September) and am looking for a 5 or 10k within driving distance.  Does anyone know of any races… Monroe and Shreveport are at least a day’s drive from New Orleans. Good luck in the "Finish on the 50"  Wonder if it ends up on the 50 yard line in the Superdome?  

Welcome to Nawlins! Try the Hard Rock Cafe Rock&Roll Run (well, after all this is New Orleans, and runners get to experience the French Quarter in the strange hour of early morning) Sunday morning, 9/15 5k/1mile info: 504-891-9999 (that number is Southern Runner which will update you on any other info you’re into..other than races there are lots of neat levees and tourist spots. I enjoy checking out the prime tourist spots in a strange town while running through the deserted streets in the early AM, then going back later with camera, appetite etc. Bill Spindler…..        Antarctican Obviously, my opinions are mine!
