Shoe report for heavier runners

Categories: nike running

Question:

I weigh around 190 and have been wearing New Balance 577’s for a long time.  They’re great for people with wide feet (EE) like me.

Response:

:       Just a couple of shoe comments based upon experiences over the last year : I am a pronating heel striker and, over the past year have lost 40 lbs as : I worked my weekly mileage up to 35 miles. During the year, I wore Brooks : Beast shoes. They were comfortable and held my orthodics but needed new : them. The shoe is till ok but, once more, new heels at 250 miles. Brooks : (and Roadrunner) recommend these as being the shoe for the heavier runner : and I would agree although they are a tad pricey. :       As I have lost weight and have alway liked Addidas, I now am running : in a pair of Addidas Revenge. Not enough miles yet for substantive comments : but they sure are comfortable. I’ll post a wear report later. :       Just for the record, all my runs were on paved roads. :                       Regards, :                       Jim Deck I weigh about 197lbs and find the Nike Air Structure II to be very comfortable and have prevented me from injurying myself. brad
