Question:
I live in Florida where it gets REAL humid and I am looking for a hat that can keep the sweat out of my eyes and shield my face from the sun. I found a NIKE (somekinda DRI) hat but there was only one color and it was not to my taste. Thanks in Advance for your help. Joe
Road Runner Sports has several styles of running hats. I bought their own label model in white and yellow. They have a terry sweat band built in, mesh sides for ventilation. I highly recomend this hat. cheers Jack Durham, NC

www.performancesports.com has a small selection of hats with liners for absorbing moisture. I just got my wife one for Mothers Day, along with a Coolmax singlet. Look at what Patagonia has (machine washable billed caps that are mostly mesh), then go somewhere cheaper and get one just like it.

Why they would make a runners hat in black only is beyond me. Sorry to say they don’t make the one I bought last year anymore. I will have to try one of the new ones, white that is.

Try the Patagonia duckbill cap. It has a sweatband for sweat, a visor for your eyes and is mesh on top for ventilation. -ssloth

While a hat will provide some needed relief from the sun’s direct rays, a head band will do a better job at keeping the salt out of your eyes. — Caveat Lector!
