Best shoe for over-pronators?
Question:
I overpronate, badly, too. I have found the Adidas "Formula" to be the best running shoe I’ve ever used. The second best shoe is the Saucony Grid Shadow. I’ve never found a Nike shoe that handles overpronation at all. Good Luck! Tim – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Hi, Can I ask for your biases? What do you believe is the best shoe for the severe over-pronator? I wore Nike Equilibriums for the last few years and loved them, but Nike stopped making them. I just bought a pair of Nike Air Structure Triax and it only took a week for my knees to start hurting. Probably this weekend I’ll be trying some New Balance 586s but I would consider other options. (I’ve a collapsable arch, D feet, and 135lbs if that helps.) Starting to feel the pain, Wayne I overpronate severely and like the Brooks Beast the best. Ken K.

Response:
I use the SAUCONY GRID MOCO which were recommended by my podiatrist and after many insufficient shoes I am very glad I found the MOCO.

Wayne, The shoes you will probably have the best results for pronation would be:( Brooks Beast or Asics MC+), ( Asics Gel Foundation or Brooks Addiction) The Beast & MC+ are beefed up shoes for the heavier runner or the athlete wanting more structure, whereas the Foundation & the Addiction are a lighter weight version with the cushioning agent in the heels only. Good Luck! CraigSpike

I don’t know if anyone has mentioned Saucony Grid Stabils. They are a very strong shoes, and aren’t too pricey. My only complaint about them is that they are now not as comfortable after about 300 miles, although this is about right I guess for most shoes. MDW
