ankle/heel pain
Question:
I’ve been having pain wrapping around my outside left ankle and heel, ever since one particularly fast run on an indoor track last November. It hurt most when I got up out of bed in the morning – so painful I had to walk on the toes of that foot – but then it went away after a few minutes. January 1st I started running outdoors, with new Nike Air Pro shoes, and now this pain is getting worse and more constant. I’m wearing an Ace ankle support to help reduce strain down there, and I’ve cut back on my running (I plan to take the next few days off). Any suggestions on the cause, cure, and prevention of this pain?
Response:
Sounds like achilles tendinitis possibly. I am sidelined with it right now. Time to see the doctor for confirmation and treatment.
