Question:

Hi! Does anybody know something about nike air windrunner shoes? Is this shoe suitable for competitions (road races) and training? Blaz.

Response:

Just an opinion, but I think it used to be an okay shoe several years ago, especially for someone who runs only 15-25 miles a week.  However, the last pair I bought lasted less than a month.  I brought them to the running store where I now shop, and they suggested the "Pegasus" for the same amount of money.  And from my experience, it’s a far better shoe.  I’ve had 3 pairs, and ran a marathon with them–no problems whatsoever.

Response:

Just a comment on Nike running shoes. Everytime become comfortable with a pair of shoes, Nike replaces them with a new product. This has led me to start wearing other brands, at least when they change styles, they are appear to be minor alterations, rather than a total discontinuance of the line.

Pssst, Nike is not the only shoe company that does this. You will find that every brand under the guise of "improving", change their models frequently. Some times they only change the color or the length of the laces. They call it marketing, we call it, well, lots of less favorable terms. — Doug Freese  All opinions are mine. IBM Tele: 8-293-8098
