hehehee…. funny post, Roger! ;) — David (in Hamilton, Ont) "You can’t burn out if you’ve never caught fire." http://www.angelfire.com/nc/swstudio/racing.html –

I wonder if Nike gets their rubber the same place Firestone does.  ;-)  I can just hear it now "I had a blow out at 6 miles per hour and ended up on the wrong side of the bike path." Also, I think it would be a lot harder to recall shoes since you don’t have to apply for a title.  I wonder, if more running shoes are recalled if we will have to start registering them.  ;-) Thanks,         Roger I picked that up in Clarinews thus I hope I won’t be sued for copyright violation. I believe it also belongs in here. From clari.world.europe.france.biz Organization: Copyright 2001 by Agence France-Presse (via ClariNet)   PARIS, July 27 (AFP) – US sportswear giant Nike has recalled 14,000 pairs of training shoes in Europe amid concern a design fault could cause injuries, according to a company statement Friday.   The shoes contain a "thin band of metal… that could come out and injure the person wearing them."   Potentially dangerous shoes include the Trunner Bubble, Trunner, Trunner Mid and Trunner 2000.   The company was forced to recall the shoes after it received six reports of people who were cut by the shoes in the United States. But the company said it had received no reports of injuries from European buyers.
