hard to find shoes for wide feet
Question:
I have wide feet and I’ve had a lot of luck with Saucony shoes over the years. Michael
– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – I like to run about 30 miles/week. I have wide feet, and weigh about 190 lbs. Because of the width of my feet, my big toes hit the inside of the shoe and that bothers my knees a lot. I usually run with New Balance and Asics (4E), one whole size up, and they still do not seem to help me. I am considering even going one extra size up. Has anyone had this problem? Are there any shoe brands out there that have really wide sizes? Thank you, Ron —
Response:
Opposite problem: I have size 13 AA feet. It’s not easy to find those either! (Even the New Balance merchants usually have a limited selection in that size.)
Response:
Just shows how brilliant Saucony shoes are – I know they’re great for wider feet, but I have narrowish feet and they’re brilliant for me too! Injury free, me!

Response:
New Balance only _makes_ 2 running styles in AA for men. At least a runner with very narrow feet can customize his shoes to make them fit snugger. NB may start making some 6E width running shoes. They make one walking shoe in 6E and are adding a cross trainer in 6E next spring. Rob – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Opposite problem: I have size 13 AA feet. Nike Air Pegasus, have sizes in Medium as well as Wide. I own a pair myself and they are extremely comfortable shoes.
