And I thought marathon running was tough

Categories: marathon running

Question:

I just noticed my local running club is organising the Trans-Holland Triathlon as well: 20km canoe, 160km cycling on the road, 100km cycling on sand and a 90km run to finish it all off. The course record is 23h45m Makes me kind of humble about my marathon training efforts… Barry. —   1:10pm  up 47 days, 18:54,  2 users,  load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00

Just goes to show. Print an entry and some idiot will sign up. I remember reading about a decaIronMan triathlon (Ironman times 10). I couldn’t read any more updates about the race after the third day of cycling. Was just too boring. My thoughts on these types of races is its silly to race through the wilderness when the point of such activities is to be in the wilderness. I spend precious little time off of pavement, on city streets. I’ll be damned if I’m going to see how fast I can get back on to pavement once I’m off it.
