Last weekend I went out for a meal and managed to go the whole evening without a panic attack . Sitting in a crowded room with well over one hundred other people , mostly strangers , and I managed to enjoy the evening , so for me that was really good .  Its strange but I felt calm , that does not happen that often . My cancer problem appears to be holding well and I have managed to keep my mind occupied with other things . My hobby at the moment is Genealogy , as I am trying to find out all about my families past , this I find has helped me a lot by way of keeping my mind away from bad thoughts  . If there is anyone that has been lurking for a while and wants to talk over any problems or thoughts , now could be the time to do it  ,the group needs a kick start right now . anyway  that’s about it from this Old guy , take care and stay safe everyone .  Peter . Hi Peter Well done for going out without an attack, and I’m glad you enjoyed yourself. I’ve started idling in a channel called #depression on the Undernet IRC Network, if you know how to use IRC, and that helps distract me sometimes, but I’ve taken to going out for walks with headphones on to relax me. Glad to hear you’re getting on Peter, keep the faith my friend Andy Kimbrey

Thanks for that Andy ,  You are doing a good thing by walking Andy , Any form of exercise is good for the mind and the body . I used to love cross country running , but it is not an option these days but I still manage to get out on my mountain bike believe it or not  . I need lots of fresh air and take myself off to the hills around my home . I love to sit beneath a large tree and just listen to the wind Andy , I can find peace by doing this , and it takes away much of my pain , all be it for a short while . I have mentioned to you before about finding your special place Andy ,  The one place where you feel warm and at peace .  Keep looking Andy you will find it , and when you do , write to me and tell me all about it .   Take care and Stay safe my friend .     Peter .
